Special Needs project at Easter Anguston Farm : Sep 2011

This was a project i worked on as part of the Arts development Team throughout the year, this envolved working with many different special need classes with children of all ages from nursery to teenagers to produce little monie men, encouraging them to use their imagination to create a person that in some way linked to themselves. The results were truly amazing! We displayed the monie men in the 'walnut forrest' with a washing line of little clothes inspired by the childrens book 'mrs m's washingline' This sucessfull exhibition was part of the north East Open Studios

Aberdeen Art Gallery Residency : july 2011

Alongside another Artist we worked within the education room in the Art Gallery to create large fabric origami animals from fox's to flying pigs relating to a wildlife photography exhibition also being displaying in the gallery at that time. The workshops on the last day had hands-on participation from the visiting children and adults adding to the success of the exhibition. The work was hung in the gallery through out the summer. The feed back from this Exhibition was very favourable.

Torry Youth Cafe 2010

This was a commission in which i worked with another arist and a youth club of teenagers to create some Art work to comemorate the service & dedication of Shelia to the Torry Youth Club. I was Responsible for leading the inside Art work, which was worked on by the youths on a weekly basis to create waxed teabag designs, resin shapes and a textile collage along with a neon sign. The peices are currently hung in the youth cafe with Day break T.V and the Lord Provost in attendace at the unvailing

Holocaust Banner - Jan 2009

This Textile banner was created for the Holocaust Memorial Day 2009 in Aberdeen with everyone taking part drawing an outline of their hand on fabric which i put together into the Holocaust Memorial Day logo.
